It's very much a story about facing death, which, like most people, I've tried to avoid for as long as possible. But when you lose multiple loved ones, both human and four-legged, in a short span of time, you're forced to face death. Consequently, I've tried to lean into the discomfort and fear I've had around death, especially by means of self-education (especially via many interviews with and videos by @hospicenursejulie).⁣

This book, especially its ending, was touching. Recommended to those looking for heartfelt stories about life's meaning, aging, trauma, healing, and the power of relationships.⁣
