Latest read: The Spoon Stealer by Lesley Crewe. Th Latest read: The Spoon Stealer by Lesley Crewe. There was so much to love about this book. Some of my favorite parts were the memoir writing class and the friendships formed from it, the wonderful furry companion of the main character, the complexity and depth with which the author wrote about the dynamics of the Darling family, the book's sweet ending which had me in tears, and, especially, the spoons. 🥄The way the spoons and their meaning (no spoilers here) were woven all throughout Emmeline's life story was probably the part of the book I cherished most. A worthwhile read that explores navigating complicated family relationships, overcoming generational trauma, spreading kindness, and leaving a legacy that matters.
