It's very much a story about facing death, which, like most people, I've tried to avoid for as long as possible. But when you lose multiple loved ones, both human and four-legged, in a short span of time, you're forced to face death. Consequently, I've tried to lean into the discomfort and fear I've had around death, especially by means of self-education (especially via many interviews with and videos by @hospicenursejulie).⁣ ⁣ This book, especially its ending, was touching. I haven't read a book this thick since the last Ha I haven't read a book this thick since the last Harry Potter book came out. It's even got the same smell. 😀 Anyone else oddly enjoy the scent of new books?
